Snoring devices
Snoring is often regarded by many as just something that annoys the rest of the family and keeps them awake while the person snoring is having a lovely night’s sleep. This might indeed be the case, and a snoring device can be used to help the whole household to get some sleep.
Sleep Apnoea Treatment
Snoring can, however, also be a sign of a more significant problem known as sleep apnoea. Sleep apnoea is where a person stops breathing for a matter of seconds when they sleep. If nothing else, it can often make you feel tired and cause problems with concentration during the day. Depending on the severity of the apnoea, it can make tasks such as driving and operating machinery more difficult, and as such could increase the likelihood of accidents occurring. People with apnoea are also at a greater risk of heart-related problems.
How does a snoring device work?
A snoring device is a device similar to a gum shield or dental splint, but is designed to keep your airways open while you sleep. It can used for both noisy sleepers and can be used to help with sleep apnoea.
