We then can screw in a crown or a bridge. It is really like having a complete tooth back in your mouth and the implant piece should last forever. The crown above lasts a long time, but wear and tear does mean that we usually replace the crowns around every 15-20 years. We often refer out for implant placement as it is a very specialised procedure, but we can look after all of the crowns and health of the gums around it like we do the rest of the teeth.
